FIAT VIGNALE EVELINE 1971-1993 : First owner (he sold it to a dealer in Belgium in 1993.) 1993 - 2006 : Second owner (he restored the car completely and sold it to a dealer in Holland) 2006 - 2008 : Third owner (a classic car specialist in Holland who did a lot of technical work on the car to make it look good and work good.) 2008 - now : Fourth owner (me!)
The second owner of this great car, really saved it for the world, because it had a lot of rot and needed a lot of work. Most people would've scrapped the car.... He restored the car and put a lot of effort in the floors, sills and all other weak parts of this car. All the bad parts were cut out and were replaced by better and thicker steel. After that they received a very good anti-rust treatment. Pictures are available!! After all the work the car was painted in an original Fiat Vignale colour, exactly like the car on the Vignale 124 brochure. The original engine sadly wasn't salvagable, so it received a fresh 1585cc engine of the same type (from a Fiat 131).
The car is still in a very good condition and drives very nice. In august 2008 I attended the world famous "Concours d'Elegance Paleis het Loo" in this car and received many compliments about this rare and good looking Fiat.
There was a Road Test in 1/2011 issued by French AutoRetro Magazine.
