1958 BUCKLER BB  100 Backbone

It is the  only one made and still surviving in this shape, in original condition, completely untouched and running (only one brake needs  to be repaired as the car was not used in the last 2-3 years). The car  comes with plenty of documentation about its racing history in England (it raced  many times in Silverstone), original British documents (v5), this car was owned  by Malcolm Buckler himself, as stated in the papers!!  The body is aluminium  made by John Offord from Crowthorn, it is a 2 seater which could become a single  seater by closing down the passengers space. The Engine is a Ford 100E, same like the Lotus 11 has: 1172cc, The weight is 380KG.

My car in  Silverstone circuit in 1958¦.. the Buckler Register used this picture for the Christmas Greetings card this year !!  It shows the car during one of the very early races as it has no paint yet ¦ plate number is still the one the car has  today !!

Unique Ford 1172cc powered streamliner from Derek Buckler, who not only engineered the  world’s first kit car of the modern era, but supplied Lotus with close ratio  gears and built the space frame of the very first Brabham racing car. Historic, evocative, unrepeatable.
